How to prepare a Shopify appeal before you submit it

1. Start with the exact notice

Use the full email or admin notice from Shopify. Look for the action Shopify is actually asking you to take: identity verification, business documentation, supplier evidence, fulfillment proof, policy remediation, payment-risk review or another specific workflow.

Do not treat every Shopify warning as the same kind of “appeal.” A generic response can waste the chance to address the real blocker.

2. Separate facts from assumptions

Before writing anything, list what you can prove. Useful evidence may include business registration details, supplier invoices, tracking, delivery history, customer-support records, refund history, product sourcing information and an explanation of any recent unusual activity.

3. Fix contradictions first

• Business name and payment/bank details should be consistent.
• Store policies should match what customers actually receive.
• Supplier or inventory claims should match available documentation.
• Tracking and fulfillment records should support what the appeal says.

4. Keep the appeal factual

Explain what happened, what you verified or changed, what evidence is available, and what you are asking Shopify to review. Avoid threats, emotional language, invented explanations or copied templates that do not match your case.

5. Do not submit false evidence

Never fabricate invoices, tracking, identity documents or supplier relationships. A weak but truthful case can sometimes be clarified; contradictory or false evidence can create a much more serious problem.

6. Check readiness before submitting
